Eligibility criteria:
- If you were born on April 2, 1985, or later, you are qualified to apply for this award.
- Before this date, applicants are not eligible for this chance.
- You cannot be awarded a MEXT Scholarship if you are a citizen of Japan.
- For the Master’s degree programmes, you must have a 16-year degree in order to apply.
- You need a total of 18 years of the degree if you want to apply for the various doctoral programmes.
Benefits:
- Waiver of all tuition fees.
- The amount of the monthly stipend might range from 2,000 to 3,000 yen.
- For some students, a monthly wage of 143,000 yen.
- Students who receive this scholarship and are enrolled in master’s programmes will receive 144,000 Yen each month.
- 145,000 Yen is the monthly allowance for students enrolled in doctoral programmes.
