Gungwu Wang Scholars & policymakers who want to investigate the intersection of big-power interactions & their effect on SEA can apply to the visiting fellow’s program. Open to mid-career policymakers as well as pre-and postdoctoral candidates.
The following priority areas will require visiting fellows to perform policy-relevant research:
Changes in US-China Relations and their Impact on Southeast Asia
• The development and future of international economic efforts like the Belt and Road Programme and the Regional Complete Economic Partnership;
• China’s rise and its effects on Southeast Asian communities;
• Major Powers’ use of technology and the internet to influence perceptions of and draws in Southeast Asian countries;
• Asia Pacific Security Issues (such as the South China Sea and China-ASEAN relations);
